'The perpetrator of the New Orleans truck attack, Shamsud Din Jabbar was Muslim by 'religion' - the FBI is now investigating the attack as an act of terrorism [1].' He was driving a rented truck containing explosives, wearing full body armor and had an ISIS flag attached to the vehicle.

The pillar of Islam - 'zakat' - sometimes called an 'Islamic charity' that must be paid by all Muslims has 8 categories for expenditure - one of which is 'the cause of Allah' - jihad.

80-90% of Designated terrorist groups in non-Islamic countries are Islamic - but then what other belief system has a mandatory expenditure for military purposes?

Koran 9:14 "Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them and give you victory over them and satisfy the breasts of a believing people"

Koran 9:60 As-Sadaqat (here it means Zakat) are only for the Fuqara' (poor), and Al-Masakin (the poor) and those employed to collect (the funds); and for to attract the hearts of those who have been inclined (towards Islam); and to free the captives; and for those in debt; and for Allah's Cause (i.e. for Mujahidun - those fighting in the holy wars), and for the wayfarer (a traveller who is cut off from everything); a duty imposed by Allah. And Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise.
