Burqa Bans - Amnesty International Objects but who are they helping? - not women and little girls in non-Islamic countries.

Switzerland has banned the burqa - this is the will of the people in spite of authorities.

The people have been waiting 4 years for the government to act on results of a referendum on this issue as they are required to do. Changing demographics have elevated this matter to one of national security. Islamic doctrine affords protection from abuse to women who are veiled, but not to those who are not. In the U.K., thousands of young girls have been targeted for abuse - non-Muslim girls, easily identified by their lack of veiling. The safety of all women requires that such a means of identification is removed.

Islamic doctrine makes it clear that unveiled women may be abused.

Koran 33:59 "O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e.screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, THAT THEY SHOULD BE KNOWN (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed*. And Allah is Ever OftForgiving, Most Merciful."

*Khan translation, other translations are 'Abused, harmed, molested etc...'
